Pay will depend on experience, attitude, and qualifications. Starting pay for either position will be 21 dollars per hour up to 30 dollars per hour for the right candidate.
Qualifications
Experience in the following categories is required: underground construction, directional drilling with Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch, handhole setting, redlining, whitelining, sonde locating, utility locating, hydro excavation, and driving trucks with trailers. A valid driver's license is a must.
Job Description
Brinks Boring is looking for a hard-working and dependable employee with a good attitude. We do travel a fair amount for our work in IL. Lodging is provided in the form of a house or hotel room with a kitchenette. We are looking to hire people local to either Central IL or Northeast IN areas. We have long-term work in the central Illinois area doing fiber to the home.
The driller/locator will be tasked with safely operating a 20x22 S3 and/or a JT24. We run the Underground Magnetics Mag 8 for both of our locating systems. Potholing is typically taken care of by a vacuum excavation crew. Handholes, tie-ins, restoration, and other excavation is taken care of by the excavation crew. However, the applicant may be tasked with picking up a shovel or hopping on the vacuum excavation crew.
