Job Description
CATV Installer
Butler America Telecom is seeking an experienced CATV Technician to join us. This role will be based in St. George, UT. Position will need a good understanding of Video, Data and Phone install procedures. You will also need to be able to demonstrate how to tie in alarms on phone jobs. A good understanding of the meter and how to check for Ingress, MER, and BER.
Experience as a triple play tech. Scte or Jones NCTI certified is a plus.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Installation of Cable TV, telephone and internet services. Excellent customer service. Attention to detail, Weekend work is required. Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
Requirements:
Must have own tools, white Van, SUV or truck.
Description:
• Provide high levels of customer service to all customers and business partners.
• Plan installations by evaluating locations, locating appropriate access, laying out equipment, and following wiring plans.
• Ability to install and/or repair cable TV, High-Speed Data or Digital Services inside and outside of residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform upgrades, downgrades, pre-wiring and dwelling installations.
• Install drops, outlets, converters, cable modems, digital terminals and other cable system devices.
• Self QC send pictures via text.
• Measure, record, and determine cable signals.
• Troubleshoot existing services and elevate installations based on quality control standards.
• Maintain, secure and account for equipment inventories.
• Prepare regular, accurate, legible, and timely cable system records.
• Accurately educate customers on the use and functions of their services.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety practices.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and peers.

If required by the client after completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen
Pay Rate:
Highest Rates offered to 1099 or W2 Techs with own trucks, SUV’s or white Van. Must have an Android phone, Laptop and Meter.
Qualifications:
• 1+ year cable industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
• Able to carry, climb, and maneuver an 80 pound, 28-foot extension ladder.
• Ability to work in various conditions including, but not limited to, inclement weather, and small spaces such as attics, basements and crawl spaces.
• All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment Background/Drug.
• Truck / Van / SUV (White preferred) Self Owned.
• Must have your own truck, ladder w/hooks, tools and safety equipment.
