Qualifications
Must be able to read design prints for coax, copper and fiber. Locate cables using a utility locator ie. a Pipehorn, etc...manage and/or Direct crews on a daily basis, communicate w/ locators, engineers, draw as-builts maps, make decisions on the fly as needed. The ability to get involved with the work is a plus. CDL a plus.
Other Requirements
Highly experienced in UG construction to include Directional Boring, Missile boring, trenching, plowing, blowing string, rodding duct, placing peds and Vaults, etc... Aerial construction of strand, coax, copper, and fiber. Knowledge of splicing and drop bury of all 3 types of cable as well.
Job Description
We have a long term contract that has been ongoing for 15+ years providing full service in both Aerial and UG construction. Looking for a Field Supervisor to help manage crews, white line jobs, locate cables & verify 811 locates, preliminary ride-outs, communicate with engineers, customer service, etc...
