Job Description:
An Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising power linemen and electricians to install, repair, and maintain electrical power lines or electrical systems. Also, they read the blueprints of projects and are responsible for production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise all operations to ensure that all operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. This includes ensuring that all employees working on the project are working safely and productively;
Ensure all personnel understands assigned tasks and provide necessary briefings;
Provide qualified electrical expertise to crews in all phases of construction;
Requisition, assign, and track materials needed for the daily operations;
Assist in building out/upgrading both underground and aerial aspects of the network;
Have the working knowledge of engineering work prints, ability to understand and interpret construction energy documents;
Perform audits of operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices;
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience in the Electrical Industry in the Construction Field;
Provide verifiable evidence of experience knowledge of all aspects of Electrical Aerial/Utility CATV and Underground Construction and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field;
Practical Knowledge of Microsoft Suite;
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions;
Understanding of advanced electrical principles, including knowledge of electricity and how to safely work around it;
Solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods;
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes travel;
Must possess knowledge of materials, methods, equipment, and tools involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and components;
The preferred applicant would have a minimum of 3 years of experience in project supervision with a focus on electrical construction infrastructure, right-of-way, DOT, and local municipal permitting.
