POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking an Aerial Lineman to join our team. This position will utilize their experience and knowledge to perform line maintenance, repair, and various aerial construction practices in accordance with NESC standards. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs aerial cable installation procedures including, but not limited to, pole placement and anchors, pole removal, transfers, and
proper framing techniques etc.
• Ability to prepare and assemble various line apparatus, utilize equipment to install ground rods and anchors, assist in hoisting aerial
poles, and operate various types of construction equipment
• Ability to climb utility poles at various heights
• Reads and interprets work prints and diagrams and is familiar with current practices pertinent to each job assignment
• Clear understanding of all NESC clearances and regulations
• Ability to safely operate hydraulic aerial lifts, ladders, bucket trucks, assist wheel and anchor placement machine
• Keeps work areas clean and organized; always ensure job site cleanliness
• Ensures proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignments daily
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, chain saw, chain hoist, climbing hooks etc.
• Ensues job site safety and sets up safe perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers; flagging traffic when required
• Heavy lifting will be required; must have the ability to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
• Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid, and/or rainy spring, summer, winter and fall weather, combined with
regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
• May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
• When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing
protection, hard hats, and safety boots


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 1 + years of lineman experience in the telecommunication industry required
• 2 + years of telecommunication aerial construction experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
