AERIAL TELECOM LINEMAN
Type: Full-time, Hourly
Location: Saint George, Salt Lake City and Price, UT
SCS,LLC is seeking an Aerial Telecom Lineman to join one of our self-performing aerial crews.
Responsibilities:
+ Aerial Lineman shall be familiar with all day to day activities of aerial construction crew
+ Lineman must exhibit and uphold all safety values and keep worksite safe
+ Lineman must have a good working knowledge of all aspects of telecommunications aerial construction including:
• Make ready
• Strand placement,
• Cable placement,
• Guying
• Splicing
• Must understand and uphold NESC code as well as all local and pole owner requirements
• Individuals must be able to read prints and have knowledge of the aerial process
• Responsible for safe operation of all aerial bucket trucks and equipment
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Strong work ethic
+ Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude
+ The ability to manage and direct construction crew
+ Valid US Driver's License, with clean MVR
+ CDL preferred
+ Able to work in a fast-paced environment
+ The ability to work safely, with or without supervision
+ Ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to aerial bucket truck, lashing equipment, and other equipment

+ Safety- Cutting corners is never an option.
+ Accountability- everyone is accountable for the work we do as a whole.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years' experience with an aerial construction crew
+ OSHA 10/30
+ Splicing experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
