Job Description
Unified Communications is seeking a Field Supervisor for Installation and Repair services in the Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington and Denver Colorado markets.
You will lead a team of 10-20 technicians. A good portion of your day will be time spent working in the field with the technicians, answering questions and working with our customer to maintain the level of operational performance required.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with recruiting, hiring and training of new technicians.
Manage daily activity of Installation and Repair technicians.
Complete daily/weekly paperwork and reporting required by UCG and customer.
Ensure responsiveness on all Field installation/Trouble shooting issues.
Ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Perform quality checks on all technicians.
Equip staff with necessary, company-issued tools and equipment.
Coordinate preventative maintenance work as required or assigned.
Manage inventory and submit requisitions to ensure adequate supply of materials.
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times with all clients and their customers.
Relationship building with customers and employees to help grow the business.
Other duties and tasks as needed.
Required Skills/Experience:
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Valid state driver's license, with an excellent driving record.
Minimum of 10 years of telecom or CATV or other related industry experience.
Prior management or supervisory experience is required.
Courtesy, respect, diplomatic abilities and a pleasant demeanor.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of UCG personnel and contract partners.
Work under minimal supervision, within broad guidelines of procedures and goals.
Apply technical expertise to a variety of situations, evaluate problems, and implement the best solutions
