Job Description
Drop Technicians work primarily outside customer homes with ladders and hand tools to bring coaxial cable to the home for new Services as TV, Internet and Phone Service. Service Drop Technician’s core responsibility is to recognize, assess and control potentially hazardous situations in addition to maintaining the safety of the crew by giving direction regarding procedures, road safety and general oversight.
Requirements:
* The technician will be expected to replace the downed drop, recover the old drop and test at the NID to ensure service is restored.
* Must have experience handling a 28' fiberglass ladder.
* Strong customer communication skills - ability to explain technical issues to customers.
* Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack. Technician will provide their own tools to perform the job.
* Technician must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
