Up to $130,000, Depending on Experience.. 1099 for 90 day probationary period with the opportunity to become W2 employee.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 10 years project management experience. Must have a vast knowledge of fiber construction for aerial and UG. Fiber splicing knowledge is a plus, but not required. Must have references.
Other Requirements
Work with other departments to coordinate projects to ensure all operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. Perform quality control inspections of all aerial/underground cable projects with in house and subcontracted crews. Interacts with customers regarding the project status/completion, and resolve any issues. prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports. Be able to bid, track and think outside the box to keep projects on budget.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Manage in house and subcontracted resources performing aerial and underground construction.
Conduct pre-construction meetings.
Interface with customers to coordinate schedules, plans and risks.
Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Accurately forecast resource requirements based on completion deadlines.
Conduct and manage quality control to ensure projects are executed safely and to specifications.
Forecast, order and manage material usage requirements.
Oversee training and certification of in house and subcontracted resources.
Obtain permits and licenses.
Manage process of collecting, reviewing and distributing deliverables.
Resolve issues related to damages and customer escalations.
Ensure quality construction standards while using proper construction techniques.
Ensure the project gets completed on time and within budget with focus on account management.
Participate in preparation and review of estimates with attention to the following: adherence to cost control system, equipment requirements and utilization, construct ability, form work, materials, manpower, general conditions, schedule, insurance, etc.
Communicate directly with customers as appropriate acting as the escalation point for project issues.
Develop a strong working relationship with Project Managers to maximize new opportunities and revenue.
Ensure that customers are informed of project progress, issues and projected completion dates.
Assure the timely completion and submission of all required reports.
Participate in accident investigations with fleet and safety employees. Determine degree of prevent-ability and coach employees on safe driving habits.
Assist with fleet fuel and maintenance programs to assure proper usage and cost control.
Qualifications:
10+ years experience in coaxial and fiber construction required
Prior experience with directing crews both aerial and underground.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent planning, organization and project management skills.
Able to multitask and prioritize.
Strong Microsoft Office computer skills, knowledge of creating and updating Excel spreadsheets.
Knowledge of project management processes, means and methods.
Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
Understand of all facets of the fiber construction process.
Familiar with construction management software packages.
Able to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, push/pull, reach, and stretch 30-50% of time.
Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor degree in business or equivalent experience preferred.
Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check.
Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years.
