Job Description
Wise Connect, Inc. is hiring Drop Service Wire Technicians in Louisiana: DeQuincy, Ville Platte, and Welsh
*Must have experience working in copper aerial cable placing drops. Must have experience placing aerial drops (must have knowledge of copper)*
Requirements:
• The technician will be expected to replace the downed drop, recover the old drop and test at the NID to ensure service is restored.
• Must have experience handling a 28' fiberglass ladder.
• Strong customer communication skills - ability to explain technical issues to customers.
• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack. Technician will provide their own tools to perform the job.
• Technician must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This includes: lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, a hard hat, a reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones. Other equipment may be required by local management.
Work Environment:
• May climb and work at elevations (e.g., from ladders, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet.
• May perform strenuous physical activities including, but not limited to: lifting objects weighing over 75 pounds.
• May perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e.g., extreme cold and/or heat, inclement weather).
• When working aloft, employee's weight and tools combined may not exceed the 300-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer.
• Must work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime, weekends and holidays. Follow all company and client safety guidelines.
