Job Description

• Productively lead crew members and subcontractors to perform daily work operations in a safe, quality and productive manner.
• Schedule all associated aerial pole line work for the crew members and subcontractors performing this work.
• Train all crew members and subcontractors in safety items as it associates with their work and enforce safety practices. Ensure JHA’s are completed as required by our Safety Practices.
• Address all personnel issues with crew members. (Time Off, Tardiness, their progress in their work, etc.)
• Maintain daily crew production reports for both crew members and subcontractors and complete profit and loss documentation each day. (Time Reports)
• Enter all project status in Fiber Project Database, Pole Line Inspection Database and Copper Project database on Google spreadsheets.
• Document work prints daily to maintain installation information, billing information, employee and subcontractor quality work performance and maintain these prints as archival documents for future use.
• Prepare billing documents and sign off on all billing documents.
• Provide As-Build Drawings to the inspector prior to getting billing approval.
• Maintain an adequate material inventory that will support the aerial pole line activities and perform material inventories as required.
• Visit crew members each day to ensure all workers and subcontractors are productive and following all safety requirements of our safety policies. Document these visits on the appropriate safety inspection form.
• Train all employees in all aerial placing aspects of their job during the course of their daily work day.
• Ensure that all crew members have the required and appropriate tools and equipment to perform their work in an expeditious and quality manner.
• Ensure that all subcontractors are aware that J. Daniel & Company, Inc. is requiring that all subcontractor crews have the required and appropriate tools and equipment to perform their work in an expeditious, safe and quality manner.
• Coordinate all pending work with other foreman within . (Bore Crews, UG Placing Crews and Splicing Crews. Be proactive in order to meet all dues dates for the fiber install projects.
• Maintain an adequate material inventory and perform material inventories as required .
• Visit crew members and subcontractors each day to ensure all workers are productive and following all safety requirements of our safety policies. Document these visits on the appropriate safety inspection form.
