Job Description

Essential Duties:

• Read and interpret documents in the form of work orders, including (but not limited to) strand maps, PDF prints, Bentley prints, and any other CATV/fiber related document.
• Assign daily project assignments to crews.
• First point of contact for field personnel for any field issues, hazards, or complaints.
• Conduct daily meeting with crews to review previous day’s efforts and expedite crews in getting road ready.
• Ensure daily pre-trips on vehicles are completed with proper documentation.
• Verify integrity and quality of safety equipment, and assess crews on site to ensure proper safety equipment (PPE) and procedures are being followed.
• Pre-construction trip to job sites to verify design route, designate excavation path and notify damage prevention companies, verify building entry and ISP route.
• Coordinate private locates if required.
• Redesign / re-route projects to circumnavigate field issues as needed, working with the property owner and customer (Spectrum) in the process.
• Resolve customer complaints and public relations issues as they arise.
• Conduct post-construction quality control assessments.

Experience & Physical Demands:
A Construction Supervisor’s experience should be primary field related. One would need to be well versed in common construction practices and familiar with construction specs and codes. One must be able to sit for endured periods of time at a desk while working at a computer, and also be able to walk uneven or off-road terrain in all climates (hot, cold, wet, frozen, etc.).

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, and physical demand to perform as a Construction Supervisor. Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record with the ability to be insured under the Company’s insurance policy is required.
