Qualifications
5+ years telecommunications experience . Knowledge in new build, coax telephone and fiber installation, pole transfers, coax splicing and activating, and ADSS fiber. Valid drivers license, must be 18 years old. CDL preferred but not required, clean driving record. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. For consideration, candidates must be able to pass a background check, motor vehicle check and drug test.
Job Description
Required Knowledge for a CATV Lineman:
• Experience with CATV / Broadband construction specifications
• Familiar with R.U.S and N.E.S.C
• Must have experience placing strand, coax and fiber
• Must be able to use a capstan and arbor bar for winching through underground conduit
• Familiar with the operation and maintenance of a bucket truck
• Ability to climb poles with hooks and belts
• Must be able to read & understand CATV/Broadband prints
• Must have a can-do attitude and good communication skills with peers and general public

• Must be able to identify tools and load the bucket relevant to work being performed
• Familiar with R.U.S and N.E.S.C
• Must have a can-do attitude and good communication skills with peers and general public
Duties:
• Completion of remedial and high-level labor-intensive tasks as well as operation of assigned construction equipment
• Completion of daily production reports to document work performed
• Use of hand tools, ladders, and equipment to assist in the completion of an assigned project
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
