Job Description

Unites Smart Tech (UST) offers telecommunication services to urban, suburban, and rural communities. UST offers a variety of services to residential and commercial customers by way of fiber-optic and copper networks, including video, high-speed internet, and advanced voice.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, highly driven sales/business development/ client relationship professional who can expand into new market segments as well as develop the current client base utilizing both company provided and self- sourced leads.

The Senior Business Development Associate excels in building relationships with existing and potential clients through various methods, including face to face meetings, community and organizational networking, video conferencing, phone conferencing, and leveraging social media, to meet client needs and to achieve business objectives.

Strong client relationships are built upon trust, respect, and prompt, courteous service to client needs and requests.

• Identifies areas of opportunity by researching industry and community related events, publications, and business announcements.
• Leverages social media.
• Locates or proposes potential business deals by researching and contacting potential partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities.
• Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal/contract requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
• Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks, limitations, and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
• Protects organization's value by maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to position accomplishments.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• 1-3 years demonstrated success in comparable position.
• 1-3 years of Telecom experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or similar discipline, preferred but not required.
• Experience leading, building, mentoring, and developing a successful sale team.
• Sales or Business Development managerial experience preferred but not required.
• Prospecting skills.
• Sales Planning.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong closing and negotiation skills.
• Territory management skills/experience.
• Proven ability for successfully meeting sales quotas.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong computer and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of current technology
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, as needed.
