Qualifications
Splice and activate coax cable systems including fiber optic nodes and other equipment for transmitting data or television programming. Knowledge of Reading and Splicing to design is a must.
Other Requirements
High School Diploma ( GED or High School Certificate) Must pass background check, drug screen, and valid drivers license
Job Description
Clean and maintain tools & test equipment
Splice cable systems using hand tools or mechanical equipment
Inspect, activate and test lines and cable
Access specific areas to string lines and install taps, splitters, amplifiers, auxiliary equipment and appliances using bucket trucks or by climbing poles and ladders
Place insulation over conductors and seal splices with moisture-proof covering
Knowledge of safe operation of a bucket van
Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
Inspect and maintain vehicle logs in accordance of regulations
Other tasks as determined by Management
