Qualifications
Previous experience working from blueprints, and specifications. Experience in fiber optic cabling. Knowledge of telecommunications industry both aerial and underground construction. Ability to travel. Communication Proficiency. Leadership Skills. Time Management. Technical Experience

Job Description
Successful splicing and installation of telecommunication cable. This ranges from identifying cables, and making the right connections, to cable fault analysis and reading prints and schematics.
Splicing different types and sizes of fiber optic cable
Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment – driving vehicles such as vans, pickup trucks and splicing labs.
Accessing specific areas using bucket trucks, ladders, or entering tunnels, trenches, or crawl spaces.
Performing for or working directly with the public.
Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
Setup service for customers, installing, connecting, and testing.
Clean maintain tools and test equipment.
Inspect or test lines or cables, recording and analyzing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults using an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
Splice fiber optic cables using fusion machines, hand tools, or mechanical equipment.
Read and understand splicing diagrams and construction prints.
Place enclosures on fiber optic cables to ensure they are water and airtight.
Responsible for being part of the call out rotation
Be prepared to work long hours due to customer outages
