Qualifications
Aerial Construction experienced crews are required. Fiber experience also necessary to qualify for the fiber work available.
Other Requirements
Must have own Vehicles, Tools, and Insurances in place. All payments are direct deposit.
Job Description
Aerial Construction
Experienced in Bucket Truck Operation
- Able to read prints and other engineering documentation
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Fiber Optic and Copper Cable industry construction, maintenance and testing experience
- Mechanically inclined and detail oriented
- Must have DOT certification
- Install and repair Fiber Optic and Copper Cable in a variety of environments
- New Cable Installs, Pole Transfers, Strand Building, Cable Hanging/ Lashing, Make
Readies, Figure Eighting
- Record and Document as needed
- Perform Daily Duties in a Safe manner
- Maintain a professional working attitude with business partners and customers at all times
- Uphold quality workmanship surpassing industry standards
Fiber
- Ability to fusion or mechanically splice SM or MM fiber optic cables, to include or terminate various types of fiber optic connectors (ST, SC, LC).
- Installs and tests pressurized and non-pressurized closures on all types and sizes of cable
- Analyzes and troubleshoots basic technical problems or issues.
- Reviews, interprets and works with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents.
- Performs daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment.
- Performs optical continuity and conformance testing.
- Makes splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial and building work locations.
