Precision Valley Communications is a leading provider of engineering, mapping and design services for cable, telephony and utility customers.  With headquarters in Springfield VT, PVC also has office locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut.  PVC's field services include the mapping and design on strand and as-built, as well as make-ready engineering and pole audits.

Overview:

Precision Valley Communications is seeking experienced individuals to lead one of our design groups.  Applicants should have a strong working knowledge of CATV/FTTX and telecommunications engineering as well as experience with RF and Fiber design.  This position will manager the planning and designing of RF and Fiber routes for HFC, FTTX, MDU and Metro-E.  A background in all phases of network design utilizing AutoCAD, Lode Data, Bentley and Spatialnet software required.  A strong background in RF Coax and Fiber construction a plus.

Responsibilities:

Planning and designing RF and Fiber routes for HFC, FTTX, MDU and Metro-E
Provide project scope for new design services
Assist with budget and forecast planning as well as creating and maintaining project timeline schedules
Provide support (technical/troubleshooting) as needed to customers, subcontractors and employees
Work with Project Managers and/or field personnel to ensure quality and timely delivery of our services.
Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with employees, subcontractors and customer
Maintain involvement with engineering, permitting and construction processes while adhering to company and compliance agency guidelines
Maintain project documentation and analyze upgrade/expansion strategies
Some travel required
Work evenings and weekends as needed
All other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of OSP Design, specifically HFC Architecture and Design as well as Passive Optical Networks
Experience with CATV/FTTX/telecommunication engineering
Experience with AutoCAD, Lode Data, Bentley and Spatialnet software
Knowledgeable experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, Adobe Acrobat and all Google products
Knowledge of RF Coax and Fiber construction practices
Strong analytical and strategical skills with the ability to think creatively
Ability to communicate effectively and lead strongly while maintaining positive relationships with customers, subcontractors and employees
Ability to work independently, possessing excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screens
High School Diploma or equivalent
