Job Description
We are looking for an individual with 3+ years of fiber splicing and construction work experience with at least 6 months supervisory experience. You must demonstrate a full understanding of Node plus zero fiber system design including splicing schematics mixing and node activation. Responsibilities:
Manager tasks associated with the upgrade and splicing of fiber optic cables and enclosures.
Oversee the proper issuance of inventory based on work assignment.
Ensure fiber splices are completed according to design documentation.
Manage the installation/splicing and troubleshoot various PON pieces (C/D Muxes, OADMs, Splitters, etc.)
Test, activate, and troubleshoot splicing and equipment after installation.
Ensure basic daily maintenance of direct reports vehicles (check fluids, clean and organize-vehicle).
Assign work and prepare paperwork to track daily production, and accurately record completed- work on job site blueprints.
Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the- customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such- issues without escalation.
Investigate and or resolve all trouble calls after install and damages
Identify, monitor and address problem areas and customer service/quality- control issues and complaints.
Establish workable quotas.
All other duties assigned
Complete all paperwork as well as maintain and update- trouble call, damages and QC logs.
Monitor completion percentage and verify all non-completed jobs.
Note all reasons for why jobs could not be completed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years of Fiber Splicing experience.
Supervisory experience in cable television, telecommunications or customer- service industry.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license of at least 2 years.
Must be able to pass a background check, Motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
Ability to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and last-minute changes per customer or company mandate.
