Aerial Lineman with CDL
Aerial Lineman Job Summary
The role of an Aerial Lineman is a specialty trained employee who has expertise in the construction and repair of overhead plant or RF/ Fiber lines. The Lineman also has extensive training in specialty equipment to service these overhead projects. A Lineman will also have an extensive and practical knowledge of the RF and Fiber network makeup, its operation and network assets for troubleshooting and repair as well as new construction.
Aerial Lineman Job Requirements:
Seeking in-house aerial crews or lineman for CATV and Fiber work in Northern Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky areas.
Aerial Lineman Qualifications
• Construction and repair of overhead RF and Fiber service cables
• Understand how to read and construct from a design schematic of map
• Understand all inventory and equipment required for these projects
• Certified on the use of equipment: Line truck, bucket truck, cable reel equipment, saws and drills
• Ability to climb poles with climbing equipment safely
• Move and relocate RF and Fiber service cables
• Familiar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines
• Underground work as needed and directed and as trained
• Flagger Certified for field work as needed
• Lead teams in the field effectively and efficiently as needed and directed by supervisor
• Vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified
Aerial LIneman Benefits:
• Pay based on experience and equipment
• In-House require background check and drug screening
• Valid Driver’s License
• CDL License is a plus
• Minimum 40 hour / week
• Paid vacation / holidays for in-house only
• 401K for in-house only
