Qualifications

5+ years in the Telecom Industry, preferred equal amount of specialized vendor training. Some managerial skill and financial management education would be beneficial, but not required.

Other Requirements

Prior experience with various aerial telecom projects. Knowledge of common construction methods, materials, and equipment. Knowledge of safety procedures and requirements for aerial telecom projects.

Job Description

The Aerial Supervisor is responsible for supervision and support of the company’s Aerial Telecom utility efforts and activity. Duties include but are not limited to, leading activity and resources associated with aerial telecom utility and various methods including estimating, invoicing, data collection, and assisting estimators on production. This position provides leadership and supervision of the Aerial Telecom Utility Construction team and ensures projects are effectively prioritized and implemented. The Aerial Supervisor ensures capital and maintenance projects are planned such that projects can be accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner and ensures consistency and compliance with JKL standards and customer service policies and procedures. This position also provides project supervision of multiple projects meeting and exceeding customer needs with safe and efficient operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
• Provide input to employees on team productivity and profitability.
• Establish and maintain good working relationship with construction teams.
• Actively recruit new talent and work to retain existing employees.
• Provide input on equipment purchases and maintenance of equipment.
• The ability to train and perform in the supervision, training and evaluation of the Aerial Telecom Operation Department personnel.
• Perform skilled work in the reconstructing, maintaining and repairing of aerial telecom systems and equipment.
• Document and report supervisor activity schedule.
• Properly document estimates and maintain system document and folders provided.
• Investigate new technology and methods.
• Continue research and development of new techniques to increase efficiencies and better serve customers.
• Continually evaluate assigned projects to ensure profitability, timelines, etc.
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Identify ways of continuous improvement of processes and procedures that will elevate the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Factors:
• Ability to work outdoors to properly prepare estimate for trenchless activity.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry and lift as needed.
• Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet and limbs in performing skilled movements.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to various locations.
• 100 % Travel.

Requirements:
• Must be able to read blueprints and other types of engineering documents and contracts.
• Knowledge of aerial telecom operations, estimating, safety and managing.
• Knowledge of various telecom materials and ability to select best product per project.
• Knowledge of capabilities of various sized equipment used in the telecom field.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to read, comprehend and prepare all job-related work reports.
• Knowledge of permits required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and workloads.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently.
• Demonstrated desire for a high level of work quality.
