We need candidates that have experience splicing large count fiber, 432 and larger. Must be able to troubleshoot using an OTDR testset.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Prep, tray, and splice fiber optic cables ranging from single fiber to 432 count fiber to include ribbon and loose tube
Ribbonize loose tube fiber
Identify and access fibers in an existing splice enclosure
Splice fibers directly from a ladder
Perform mid-sheath and splicer fibers in an active network
Respond to network outages and perform required repairs
Install termination panels in a central office on customer premise
Utilize optical testing equipment such as OTDR, Power Meter, Fiber Identifier, and Fiber Scope
Follow fiber splicing documentation
Provide as-builds as required
Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations
Perform other duties as required
