CATV Coaxial Splicing Technician

Minimum 1 year of Coaxial Splicing experience, ability to handle multiple tasks and last minute changes per customer or company mandate, high school diploma or GED, must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license, must be able to pass a background check, motor vehicle check, drug test and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.

Job Description


Performs tasks associated with the upgrade and splicing of Coaxial Cable lines.
Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment.
Assemble equipment according to design specifications.
Install/repair Coaxial lines in trenches and/or pedestals using various hand tools.
Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation.
Basic daily maintenance of provided vehicle-check fluids, clean and organize-vehicle.
Prepare paperwork to track daily production, and accurately record completed- work on job site blueprints.
Work/maintenance cable line more than 32ft off the ground by ladder, bucket truck or gaffing.
Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the- customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such- issues without escalation.
Investigate and or resolve all trouble calls after install and damages
Identify, monitor and address problem areas and customer service/quality- control issues and complaints.
Establish workable quotas.
Complete all paperwork as well as maintain and update- trouble call, damages and QC logs.
Monitor completion percentage and verify all non-completed jobs.
Note all reasons for why jobs could not be completed.
All other duties assigned.

Employee will need to work outdoors while on duty, in all weather conditions.
