Proficient in maintenance and new build coax splicing and meter reading helps if you have knowledge in placement pole transfers. strand, lashing, & grounding. Valid drivers license for at least 2 years, must be 18 years old. CDL is a plus but not required, must have clean driving record. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a background check, motor vehicle check and drug test.
Job Description
Splicing of active & passive equipment for CATV
- Ability to safely operate a bucket truck
- Properly climb poles with ability to safely use ladders
- Utilize standard telecommunications tools
- Attaching strand
- Lashing cable, applying tension to cable
- Understanding of separation and clearance standards
- Voltage Detection
- Climbing
- Work outside in varying conditions
- Work nights or overtime as required
