Job Description
Wise Connect, Inc. currently has several positions available for an experienced Telecommunication Construction Manager to help coordinate and lead deployment projects in CA for our ATT Wireless Project and other Carriers in Southern California. This role will require time in the office as well as in the field. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical background in addition to familiarity with wireless construction standards and practices. Integration experience is highly valued. The ideal candidates will need experience in the below listed carrier projects:
• AT&T – 1C, 2C, 3C, 4C, 5C, 6C, Power Plants Upgrades and installations, Ethernet, NSB
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Serve as point of contact, maintain and manage technicians.
• Assist with coordination of schedules, cost, and estimations.
• Manage assigned projects from inception to completion ensuring efficiency and completion on time and within budget
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments as necessary to guarantee project deadlines and customer commitments are met in a timely manner
• Lead internal and external meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
• Travel and attend customer deployment meetings to provide customer with comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
• Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate close-out documents are distributed in a timely manner in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
• Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a company provided project tracking system, invoiced and closed with complete accuracy.
• Perform bid walks, evaluate site conditions relative to scope of work and out of scope work and prepare cost estimates.
• Comply with carrier specifications on all site construction by detailed coordination, review and approval of all documentation including but not limited to construction reports, grounding reports and as-builts.
• Ensure permitting, inspections and code compliance are completed as needed for each assigned project.
• Ability to read/interpret Construction Drawings, Structural Analyses, RFDS’s and other site-specific documentation
• Scoping Experience and Strong Computer skills, Assist with BOM validation based on site documentation (CD’s, RFDS, etc.)
• Technical Troubleshooting ability
Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• A valid driver’s license required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
• 3-5 years of telecom project management experience preferred or project management experience in any other industry
• Managing project budgets or related financial experience
• Customer-facing project management experience
Other Skills/Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management
• Ability to read and understand blueprints along with civil inside & outside plant construction methods or tower/roof top structural details.
• Ability to direct the diagnosis of work flow problems, critical paths and institute remedies
• Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage and process multiple data streams
• Knowledge of construction services (ordering and installation): Telco, power, fiber, basic construction, vendor equipment requirements, antennas, generator and shelters.
