Job Description and Responsibilities :

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position is responsible to support the day-to-day activities in the Project Management Office (PMO).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the activities of internal operations and engineering groups to ensure proper planning, communications, and implementation of solutions

Preparation and execution of customer related change orders

Support critical path analysis for projects to calculate, identify, and manage aspects of the deployment and mitigate risks

Contribute to preparation for business/project review meetings, support clients during onsite visits, and manage client communications as required

Drive communications to other cross functional teams and project stakeholders to communicate customer requirements, maintain timelines and monitor budget requirements

Troubleshoot the challenges and issues associated with development and implementation of complex plans and escalate issues when needed

Discuss key details with PMO on a regular basis and present information on projects to internal and external stakeholders

Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Participates in technology aspects of the business-sponsored RFIs/RFPs

Adhoc reporting as required

Perform all other duties as required

Requirements :

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


4-6 years related experience and/or training with emphasis on OSP/ISP construction, project management fundamentals, resource scheduling, risk, and as well as experience managing multiple vendors, resources, and customer relationships; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


PMP certification, Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred, but not required


SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Advanced: Contact Management, Database, Enterprise Resource Planning, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet (Excel), Word Processing/Typing.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.

DECISION MAKING
Performs work operations which permit frequent opportunity for decision-making of major importance which would have considerable effect on the final attainment of multiple major activities and the organization’s projects of a large organization component and organization’s clientele.

USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment (computers, copy/fax machines, etc.)

PUBLIC CONTACT
Occasional contacts with customers where the contacts are initiated by the employee and which involves both furnishing and obtaining information. Customer contacts are of considerable importance and of such nature, that failure to exercise proper judgment may result in important tangible or intangible losses to the organization.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing, must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, may be required to work long and unpredictable hours, travel up to 10% of the time, including short notice travel, which may include local site travel or national travel depending on business needs.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk.
