Job Description
CAVCOMM LLC is a Telecommunications company specializing in Fiber Optics.
We are in search of an RF/Small Cell Tech with background in Sweep/Pim for a Full Time position.
REQUIREMENTS:
•High School Diploma minimum •Valid Driver’s License
•Must pass drug and background check
•Computer Literate, MS Office. 2+ years experience in the field.. Must not be afraid of heights (90% of work done with a bucket truck) Responsible for conducting Sweep, PIM, and Fiber OTDR Testing on AWS......On call duties (Call outs for troubleshooting) •Perform Sweep test of antennas and coax RF jumpers (Insertion loss, Return Loss, Distance to Fault) •PIM Test of antennas and coax RF jumpers
•Perform Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) Test on fiber cable
•All tests will be per customer provided specifications.
•All testing will be conducted utilizing Customer approved Manufacturer test equipment (i.e. Agilent, Anritsu, Fluke, JDSU, etc.) Anritsu certified a plus (but will cert if necessary)
Install Small Cell equipment on Pole Lines
•Ability to read blues prints & Visio drawings.
•Ability to work independently or with a team. Understand and follow all OSHA, Federal, State, Local, IBC, NFPA & NEC codes •Professional attitude and appearance
•All test results will be captured in screen shot (showing date and time stamp) format and data format from test equipment and stored to USB device. Files will be saved and exported to Vendor’s computer and uploaded in zip file format to FST.
Along with your duties as a Lead RF tech you will also be trained in the fiber field as well.
