Must be able to climb utility poles and handle ladders up to 40', Ability to stoop, crawl, stand, bend at waist and knees, Able to lift at least 80 lbs., must be willing to work flexible hours up to 6 days a week, must to able and willing to work in all types of environmental conditions.

Cable Technician

In the role of Cable Technician, you’ll be the “Master of All Things TV” who will help families and businesses get up-and-running with the TV service they love. The final result we provide to our customers should yield all the perks of an action-packed blockbuster.

While we can’t all be Jason Bourne or Captain America, you can still make positive impacts on the lives of our customers. On some days, you’ll be the let’s-make-it-happen technician who saves the day by getting TV services back up after an unexpected outage. (This is critical, especially for big game days and season finales!). On other days, you’ll be our “rainmaker” technician, upgrading systems effortlessly to maximize entertainment experiences. Seriously, with this gig, you can be the sort of everyday hero that clients depend on.

Best of all, when you join our team, you’ll be joining a squad of like-minded technicians who pride themselves on providing heroic customer service. While our team isn’t quite the Avengers, it’s pretty dang close.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

? Must be at least 18 years old
? Must be willing to work up to 6 days per week
? High School diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required, with a strong background in math and science
? Positive, courteous, and pleasant interpersonal skills
? Must be able to pass a series of background and MVR checks, along with a drug test.
? Must be authorized to work in the United States
? Must have a valid driver’s license
? Must have an SUV, VAN, or TRUCK capable of hauling a 28’ to 40’ ladder
? Must have the necessary tools and the ability to use them
? Capable of completing standard aerial and underground installations
? Ability to work with low-level DC voltage safely
? Ability to use weight-bearing equipment (i.e., gaffs, safety harness, ladders, etc.) within the maximum weight limitations of that equipment
? Ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors or wire
? Ability to create cable connections in tight spaces (i.e., attics, basements) by bending, reaching, and twisting.
? Ability to perform required tasks from high places (i.e., poles, roofs, ladders)
? Ability to work with small components and wires to make cable connections
? Familiarity with basic computer operating systems, computer software applications, and numerous consumer communications devices (i.e., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, converters, wireless devices)
? Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time

Physical Requirements:

? High level of manual dexterity
? Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at knees and waist for extended periods
? Ability to work while standing for 50% to 70% of the time
? Ability to carry, climb, and operate an extension ladder (approximately 32’ high, 90 lbs)
? Ability to climb poles using gaffs, hooks, and climbing belt as required by OSHA
? Ability to work in extreme environments (i.e., hot sun, freezing cold, crawl spaces, etc.)

Preferred Qualification (Not Required):

? OSHA Safety Certification or Training
? DOT Experience or Training
? First Aid and CPR Certified
