Job Description
We are seeking an experienced fiber splicer for our daily operations in Louisville, Ky to be a inhouse (W2) splicer. We are looking for a long-term, reliable individual to work with our company. Please forward your resume, along with references, to set up a time to discuss.
Some of the duties/requirements, but not limited to:
Prep, tray, and splice fiber optic cables
Identify and access fibers in an existing splice enclosure
Splice fibers directly from a ladder
Capable of operating bucket truck
Perform mid-sheath and splice fibers in an active network
Install termination panels on customer premise
Utilize optical testing equipment such as OTDR, Power Meter, Fiber Identifier, and Fiber Scope
Follow fiber splicing documentation
Provide as-builds as required
Open, drop and replace cans on strand
Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations
Perform other duties as required
Bucket truck and tools will be provided.
