Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or high school diploma with equivalent experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience - Ability to use smartphones, tablets, applications, and web-based programs to complete field or desktop surveys and upload results - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and successfully complete tasks with minimal supervision - Must be organized with excellent time management skills
Job Description
• Control and manage Luminate inventory
• Manage material requests by contractors
• Audit material on contractors trucks
• Review field collected data for accuracy and completeness.
• Review field surveys of make-ready solutions to verify that they meet specifications.
• Manage project field documentation, to remediate fiber path issues, as needed.
• Work with Construction PM’s and/or OSP Engineers to support the splicing operation.
• Manage completing client projects and schedules with an attention to deliverable completion and deadlines.
• Understand all applicable codes, design and construction standards for project.
• Makes recommendations or provides input into construction methodologies.
• Review reports of field splicing activities.
• Analyze Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) traces, evaluate characteristics of fiber, and document test results.
• Communicate verbally with construction contractors regarding proper procedures for placement of outside cable plant.
