Qualifications
HS Diploma with an Associates degree in electronics or NCTI, SCTE, BCT or BCE certification equivalent. Five years experience in cable television involving work with system parts and components and in-depth experience in the field. Previous management and supervisory experience of 3-5 years. Must have knowledge of National Electrical Code, OSHA, FCC rules and regulations, and related state and local codes.
Other Requirements
Computer literacy in Outlook, Excel and Word. Good interpersonal and supervisory skills. Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Job Description
Plans, organizes and directs the technical operations of all cable systems within the assigned operational area.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Function as the key technical resource to Regional Management in technical planning and decision making by maintaining state-of-the-art knowledge of plant operations.
•Ensure compliance with technical specifications for cable electronics and picture quality throughout the Region as regulated by governmental or franchise requirements, including CLI and FCC proofs.
•Acting as the technical liaison between the field and office, this position will assist in coordinating dispatch/customer service efforts with the field to provide exceptional customer service.
•Ensure compliance with pertinent FCC rules and regulations in all systems.
•Assist the Regional Plant Manager in managing the vehicle fleet program.
•Travel throughout the Region as required.
•Perform other duties as required or assigned.
