* Proficiency in AutoCAD 2017 or greater * Proficiency in Microsoft applications and database tracking systems * Ability to do job costing * Ability to provide quality drawings and review or QC peer drafts * Must posess a valid Driver's License * Experience or knowledge of State, Highway Department & Municipal requirements for CATV construction permitting processes.
Job Description
CableCom is seeking a motivated, solution-orientated, self-starter to join our Salt Lake City, Utah team as a Permit Coordinator. Successful candidates will have experience working on utility plans and be knowledgeable of construction standards and municipal ordinances. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to pass background and drug screen. We offer competitive pay and an extensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with project management to create permit acquisition schedules that align with project construction schedules in multiple municipalities.
Interface with numerous municipal building and roadway departments to complete permit application requests, coordinate work inspections and secure project completion approvals.
Deliver completed permit applications and fees to various municipal Public Works or business license departments to secure construction and right-of-way encroachment permits.
Prepare purchase order and check requests for permit fees associated with project.
Track and manage permits for multiple projects concurrently.
Cultivate positive working relationships with municipalities and other permitting entities.
Perform independent permit walk-outs.
Site visits and field meeting with inspectors and construction crews required.
Desired attributes include: effective communicator, highly organized, forward thinking, goal orientated, problem solver, dependable and willing to work shifts as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
