* 3 years of experience in delivering OSP Telecommunications services or in a utility related industry. * Must have knowledge of GO95, GO128 and cable practices. * Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience. * Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management System.
Job Description
CableCom is looking for a Quality Control Technician who will ensure the quality of work performed on assigned projects. The Quality Control Technician will check to see that the work meets the contract specifications and /or typical industry standards and ensure documentation of the quality control. This Technician will work out of our South San Francisco, California location.
Responsibilities:
- Check construction activities on assigned projects to ensure compliance with
the plans and best practices.
- Complete, maintain, and submit all required construction checklists.
- Inform the Project Manager and Operations Manager of any work that is non-
compliant.
- Record and track noncompliance issues through completion.
- Analyze noncompliance data to identify trends and work with Project Manager
and Operations Manager to develop and implement continuous process
improvement.
- Ensure that all testing required by the specifications is performed.
- Ensure that tests are performed at the frequency stated in the
specifications.
- Obtain required certifications as required in timely manner.
- Maintain a file and report results of testing to the Project Manager and
Operations Manager.
