Job Description and Responsibilities :
The position is responsible for efficiently and accurately transporting equipment, materials, and supplies to and from regional offices, warehouses, and job sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pick-up and deliver equipment using the Company box truck or other means of transportation
Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments
Pull and distribute materials, tools, and/or other stock items for scheduled deliveries
Assist with placement of materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code; marks materials with identifying information
Assist warehouse personnel with inventory control levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system
Inform manager of any required vehicle maintenance and/or issues to ensure a safe operating condition
Maintain a log book and comply with all DOT regulations
Maintain a clean work environment in the warehouse and Company vehicle
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
(1) to (2) years driver and/or warehouse operations experience
Forklift certification
DOT Medical Card
Technical Skills:
Ability to utilize a smart phone
Ability to utilize an inventory management system preferred
Soft Skills:
Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions
Organized and detail orientated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, push, pull, lift above the head, and lift 100 lbs.
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
