A valid drivers license. One year experience operating directional bore machine, or have experience working with bore crew as handler ie: prepping conduit and setting hh's.

Job Description

Summary/Objective
This position performs tasks required for the operation of directional drill including set-up and bore path completion for the construction/upgrade of communications conduit.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Load and unload directional bore equipment in a manner that is secure
and damage free
Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner
Complete a daily inspection on bore equipment prior to commencing work
Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring
commencing
In conjunction with bore crew, locate/operate the directional drill
using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables


Identifies utilities in the construction area and bore path
Connect/stub-up conduit and wire
Dig pits, trenches or potholes as required including windows when
crossing utilities
Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the jobsite
Accurately complete all required company documentation for each
assignment according to established company standards and procedures
(i.e. timesheet)
Adhere to all established company safety policies and perform work in a
safe manner.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned in order to help team
complete a project
Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions
