As soon as background check and drug test are clear. •This is a full-time position. You must be able to work Mon - Fri between the hours of 6AM–5PM. Some work outside of these normal business hours may be required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: •Minimum 3yrs permitting experience in telecommunications. •Experience reviewing UG & aerial utility drawings. •Proficient CATV/Utility construction methods & engineering practices. •Extensive ROW, pole,& government agency permitting experience & an understanding of the permitting application process. •Must have valid driver’s license. 30% travel.

Other Requirements

Preferred Technical Competencies: •GIS competency. •Ability to work independently as well as with others. •Excellent oral & written communications skills. •Ability to communicate & negotiate effectively. •Ability to read & comprehend legal documents such as legal descriptions, surveys, easements, deeds, title policies, and technical drawings. •Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Job Description

Manages Right of Way (ROW) processes for fiber, utility, and utility pole attachment (aerial or underground) projects. Responsibilities include permit research and applications for various governmental, quasi-governmental, and utility bodies. Proficient at preparation of candidate information reports related to leasing and/or easements, permitting and land use viability. Identify potential risk scenarios. Monitors progress of the application and facilitates jurisdictional requests for additional information as a result of the application review process. Ensures compliance to the quality and safety goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Providing daily status updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding permitting status.
•Responsible for training and oversight for Coordinators, Admin, and Drafting staff.
•Supervises activities of team members and interfaces with other departments, as needed.
•Preparation and negotiation of permit project SOW.
•QC review of permitting drawings to ensure they meet jurisdictional requirements and/or address permit comments received.
•Create and Manage permit tracking process.
•Coordination with Permitting Agencies and Engineering to review, analyze and address any permit comments received.
•May attend community meetings, as needed/required by Jurisdiction.
•Coordinate with client and engineering departments to obtain information necessary for entitlement applications (i.e., specific jurisdictional requirements such as: existing utility data; plat data needed to define right of way boundaries, parcel data needed to define parcel boundaries and any other requirements to be included in the permit drawings as outlined by jurisdictional ordinance or permit application submittal requirements).
•Maintains a high degree of customer service and integrity when dealing with clients.
•Other duties or special projects, as assigned.
•Oversees per project SLA requirements and deals with all potential road blocks or hurdles.
