Job Description
The Experienced Cable Technician is responsible to support the Quality Control Manager with identifying employee and subcontractor work, inspecting completed the work, issuing reports on findings, & maintaining files to ensure that the work performed meets the quality standards established by the customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform real time inspections evaluating safety, appearance, and customer experience
Provide recommendations for improved performance based on the work inspected
Inspect the work performed by our crews and subcontractors prior to final customer walkthrough to ensure all specifications have been met
Ensure company standards as outlined in quality control (assurance) manual are effectively implemented
Perform Job Safety Observations
Complete Quality Controls forms as necessary and submit into the Company’s database timely and accurately
Interact, develop and maintain relationships with QC counterparts within our customers organizations
Perform Truck Inspections
Handle all customer Quality complaints, questions and develop solutions
Adhere to safety policies
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Education:
Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Experience:
1-2 years experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Quality Management
1-2 years Underground Construction & MDU experience
Aerial Construction
Technical Skills:
Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency, including use of graphics, word processing, and excel
Soft Skills:
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Highly organized and detail orientated
Above average scheduling and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
Travel up to 100% of the time, including short notice travel. Travel may include local site travel or national travel depending on training needs
