Global Optics is the largest Cable Telecommunications Contractor in the State of Texas. We are in immediate need of Fiber Splice / Bury Technicians at our Corporate Office in San Antonio.
Most preferred are techs with fusion / mechanical fiber splicing experience for providers such as AT&T, Grande, GVTC or commercial / industrial fiber splicing experience. Candidates with extensive bury experience with other transmission medium, such as coaxial cable, will be considered. If you possess most of the skills required, we can train you for the other needed skills.
Job Description: Installation of single mode fiber, to residential premises, from the curb to the closest side of the home. Light levels at the home must be verified with a light meter. QC pictures must be taken and provided with the job completion. This armored fiber line must be buried 4-6 inches deep, per customer specifications.
All positions are 1099. You must provide your own truck, van or larger SUV.
This is a ground floor, great financial opportunity for the right individuals. The work is long term / full time. Compensation is based on your skills and production levels.
