Essential Functions: • Accurately read and interpret basic splicing documents • At the job site, access splice cases and panels within buildings, hand holes, aerial locations and pedestals • Identify type of fiber cable within fiber cases and determine fibers to be used • Using a fusion splice, splice fiber optic cable in a variety of elements, indoor and outdoor • Repair fiber optic cable as required • Document and maintain accurate splicing records and job site notes • Responsible for upkeep

• Identify type of fiber cable within fiber cases and determine fibers to be used
• Using a fusion splicer, splice fiber optic cable in a variety of elements, indoor and outdoor
• Repair fiber optic cable as required
• Document and maintain accurate splicing records and job site notes
• Responsible for upkeep and maintaining company vehicle, inventory and small tools
• Other duties as assigned
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience
• Experience with fusion splicing equipment
• Must possess strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work from an Aerial lift truck and/or ladder
• Ability to use light source and power meters
• Travel may be required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug tests as required
• Must have a valid driver’s license
