-Low Voltage license required for this position
-1-3 years previous I&R experience doing POTS and DSL
-Resume is required
Other Requirements
Qualified technicians must have their own truck/ Van / SUV and basic hand tools, along with any meters necessary to complete res/bus pots and DSL installations. These techs should have any ladders necessary to perform aerial work. A laptop and or Cell Phone may be required. Along with all safety equipment required to do the job. Must also clear Background and Drug Screen
Job Description
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform all setup, testing and maintenance required for CPE installation of POTS, DSL and Networking services.
• Install and maintain CPE local area networks (LAN) and WiFi networks.
• Install and maintain network interface devices (NID) and Optical Network Terminals (ONT).
• Perform skilled troubleshooting from the MDF to the demarcation point including CPE.
• Respond to trouble tickets within acceptable company timeframe standards.
• Perform advanced outside plant (OSP) testing on trouble tickets.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
• Install OSP facilities according to engineered work orders or service orders
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and major repairs to distribution systems.
• Perform cable/fiber testing and splicing.
• Locate buried copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Meet documentation timeframe standards for closing trouble tickets, service orders, timesheets, etc.
• Record and report all record changes immediately
• Complete inventory replenish requests as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
