Job Description and Responsibilities :
The Drafter/CAD 1 is responsible for communications system CAD drafting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare CAD base-mapping including curb/gutter, centerline, building footprint, etc. (Street layout)
Interpret field notes to compile proposed design for running line and/or structures
Utilize problem resolution and solutions based ideas to resolve field challenges
Requirements :
Education:
High school diploma plus 1 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Entry level understanding of BOL,BOM design criteria and efficient design in customer applications
Proficient in customer applications (ICGS/FMS/Spatial, etc.)
Understanding of project requirements, BOL, BOM design criteria & efficient design in customer applications
Technical Skills:
Ability to interface files (excel, google docs and AutoCAD files)
Basic mathematical skills and calculation ability are required
Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail orientated
Ability to think analytically and apply sound judgment, solve problems, make effective decisions, and act with integrity
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
