Job Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading a regional division to include project management, budget management, business development and project forecasting, compliance with all safety requirements and partnering with corporate teams. As a regional manager, you are leading employee teams with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer and company expectations and supporting all company policies, processes and procedures.
Essential Functions
• Directly responsible for leading and managing a regional underground construction division
• Utilize business relationships and industry networking to build a book of business in support of the company’s strategic plan
• Responsible for overall project management to ensure projects are completed timely, safely, and within budget
• Facilitate strong customer relationships through meeting and exceeding project goals and work quality
• Plan, facilitate and manage to division budget
• Accountable for ensuring all safety requirements are met and in compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with all teams; dotted line oversight of local fiber splicing team
• In conjunction with human resources, responsible for hiring, onboarding and performance management of employees
• Comply with all company confidential and proprietary information policies
• Other projects and duties as assigned
Essential Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field, or the equivalent in training and work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in underground utility construction; a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in mid-level management position
• Expert knowledge of construction management processes and requirements
• A current OSHA 30-Hour certification is required
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven business skills and business acumen
• Excellent project management skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in ability to read, utilize and understand engineering design and construction software packages, plan documents and drawings
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Requirements
Ability to operate heavy machinery
This position requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, visual acuity to perform activities related to computer work, finger dexterity for keyboarding and operating office equipment. Crouching, climbing and reaching on a limited basis. Ability to walk, carry and lift objects as needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
