Qualifications
•Motivated self-starter with a passion and drive to start and complete projects
•Experience and understanding of outside plant construction techniques
•Knowledge of NESC, G.O. 95, & 128
•Exceptional service orientation-experience in providing customer service and support that exceeds the expectations clients
•Experience with project management processes, tools, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with reproducible results
•Operate and maintain equipment and tools
Other Requirements
• Knowledge of fiber networking, routing, switching and network management
• Ability to upload/download documents from Project Management software
• Ability to edit documents and upload PDF files into Project Management software
• Able to communicate effectively and on a daily basis with project managers, engineers, drafters and administrative personnel
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to accommodate travel in personal vehicle
Job Description
We are currently seeking NETWORK FIELDERS in the Paso Robles, CA area.
Network Fielder will be responsible for estimating implementation costs, equipment installation, construction management, and service implementation. Must be able to demonstrate comprehensive ability to support executive-level business.
• Develop accurate fiber/optical network construction estimates
• Install/coordinate equipment installation
• Conduct site surveys
• Locate fiber optic cables
• Perform maintenance of fiber optic cables
• Inspect the work of construction contractors
• Draw and stake new construction opportunities
• Measures attachment heights, span distances, guying information, angles, etc. and input the information into a utility pole analysis software (SPIDACalc and/or O-Calc experience is a plus)
DESIRED SKILLS
• Make Ready and Underground fiber optic field experience
• Experience planning and executing fiber network expansion and construction
• Fiber construction operations/management/provisioning experience
• Experience staking new fiber routes
• Experience inspecting construction contractors
• Experience locating cables
