Senior Director MDU/L&I Field Operations

Adcomm is seeking a Senior Director MDU/L&I Field Operations to provide support and assist Senior Management to help meet the needs of the company. This position will make recommendations to Sr. Mgt. regarding the primary technical direction of the company as needed.

Job Description:

The Senior Director MDU/L&I Field Operations reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of Operations and is evaluated by the Sr. VP in the area of performance of technical skills, good engineering practice and compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Cooperates with and is evaluated by the company’s Senior Management in terms of general employee performance. This position is responsible for direct reports such as Field Managers, Project Managers, and Directors of each business stream. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for maintaining compliance with technical standards imposed upon the company by business partners and local / national regulators such as the NFPA, NEC and FCC.
Act in the role Sales Engineer when requested to support sales efforts.
Prepare customer facing documents and presentations in conjunction with sales personnel and Senior Management.
Attend in person and remote meetings to support sales as requested.
Review, Approve, and Translate Site Surveys into System Designs and Bill of Materials in a timely manner as determined by the company’s Senior Management.
Provide assistance when requested by the Operations and Sales Groups in developing RFP and Project planning documents.
Responsible for maintaining 24 hour "on call" liaison with the Operations and Support Groups and available during those times to render “emergency” assistance.
Provide Tier two and three trouble shooting support when requested and act as overflow relief to customer support in times of high call volume when necessary.

Working knowledge of the Commercial Video Delivery and HSIA industry with emphasis in the Hospitality, Senior Living, Campus Housing and Multi Dwelling Unit Markets.
Computer literacy and systems familiarity including but not limited to: DIRECTV, DISH NETWORK, SAMSUNG B2B Product Lines, Wired and Wireless High Speed Internet Services (HSIA), Local Video Insertion and Digital Signage Systems.
Analog and digital component level troubleshooting skills as applied to Satellite and Fiber television delivery systems, satellite receive systems, electrical, mechanical and other equipment used in the reception and retransmission of television, video and HSIA networks.
Obtain / maintain industry required certifications as determined by the company.
Agreement with and Execution of the company’s nondisclosure & non-compete agreement.
Other duties as determined by the company’s Senior Management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma (or equivalent) required,
College Degree (preferred) in Project Mgmt and/or Engineering.
Four or more years of college level low voltage system, electronics, communications or networking curricula or a combination of electronics school and/or military equivalent preferred
SBCA and DIRECTV Training Certifications beneficial.
Ability to travel as directed to support company activities, this position requires securing rental vehicles in the employee’s name and the ability to secure lodging and airfare as required. Company expenses are 100% reimbursed according to the expense and reimbursement policy.
The ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, walk a reasonable distance in accordance with job duties and the ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds in weight.
State or Local Jurisdictional licensing regarding the installation of low voltage systems preferred
Previous experience designing video distribution systems is required with proven success using satellite based receiving and retransmission platforms.
Supervisory skills sufficient to properly and efficiently train, schedule and manage a technical staff.
Organizational skills sufficient for self-supervision, this is a highly autonomous position that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction.
Valid Driver’s license required.
