Job Description
ITC Service Group has multiple opportunities available for Directional (Horizontal) Drill Locators and Operators in in Tucson, AZ. You will be part of a multi-year project trenching for telecommunication services. We have work available for Operators and Locators, so if you have a partner you work with that does your operating, you are both welcome to apply.
We are looking to bring Drill Locators/Operators on board with at least 2 years of experience. If you have less than that, please apply, as we may be able to set up training. You must have some experience in directional drilling to be considered for this opportunity.
Directional Drill Locator:
Daily duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
•Assisting with the Drill Operator with the horizontal directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
•Locating cables and digging in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
•Assisting with construction cleanups as necessary
Preferred Experience:
•Underground fiber and coax construction
•Bore machine knowledge
•Understanding of utility depths and placements
•Construction knowledge practices horizontal directional
Required Skills:
•Must have a valid driver’s license – valid CDL preferred
•Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions
•Must be able to communicate effectively
•Must Be able to pass pre-employment screening
•Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
Directional Drill Operator:
Daily duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
•You will be required to execute all aspects of directional drilling preparations, including optimizing the bottom hole assembly (BHA) configurations, conducting visual inspections of tools and equipment, measuring inner /outer tool diameters, ensure proper strapping tools and troubleshooting, as required for operation
•Ensuring proper steering based on the noted job preparations and projections
•Troubleshooting and resolving problems, including switching out bits, replacing MWD tools, accessing component wear and tear, motor weakness and any other failures. These functions are not all inclusive of required operation of directional drilling operation.
•Operating horizontal directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
•Complying with applicable safety standards and maintaining a safe working environment
•Other related duties to be performed as required

•Must have a valid driver’s license – valid CDL preferred
