•Must be flexible and on occasion work outside the normal 8:00 to 5:00 M-F workweek including availability for emergency support as described above.
•Job site is in Valdosta, GA, must be willing to relocate if necessary.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Work with customer to understand and refine current project plan, task list, time line, and manage to the plan.
• Manage day to day tasks and milestones to ensure delivery schedules are met on a consistent basis.
• Interface with functional groups including but not limited to engineering, construction, government affairs, accounts payable, and other departments as required.
• Manage scope changes and document via change control to ensure any out of scope work is properly documented for cost recovery from customer.
• Identify risk and or issues that impede the project progress and escalate to customer management, track and manage risks through completion.
• Attend weekly status reporting calls and executive summary to customer management team.
• Provide escalation point of contact for action item completion in order to avoid delays.
• Provide timely updates on completion of small cell sites/macro rings to customer.
• Interface with customer regarding project status, deliverable documentation, and project schedule.
• Provide updates on changes or maintenance in the existing network that may affect the project plan.
• Coordinate meeting with Permit agencies and give resolutions to problems in the field that will set back construction.
• Responsible for proofing construction routes prior to issuance to contractors.
• Quality control of construction.
• Field safety audits of contractor crews.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong OSP construction background. Fiber back haul, small cell experience and splicing.
• Knowledge of construction communication in the construction business, permits, scheduling.
• Ability to properly assess a situation, confer with key stakeholders, and come to a quick course of action to minimize downtime, costs, schedule impact, and safety concerns.
• Good computer and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team environment.
• Must pay attention to detail and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and vendors.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks within required timelines and sudden shifts in priority.
