This position will sit on-site at ITC Corporate headquarters in Citrus Heights, CA. A Engineer who has done Bell work, in California, before is the ideal candidate for this position. Especially working with Easyload, knowing GO 95 and seeing GO 95 infractions as it pertains to California regulations.
If candidate has strong GO95 knowledge but little operating knowledge in O-Calc/EZ Load pole load analysis and permit submittal, training will be offered.
Job Description
ITC Service Group is currently hiring a Make Ready Engineer to be the subject matter expert in GO 95, O Calc and Easyload.
Company Overview:
ITC Service Group (“ITC”) is a full service provider of qualified personnel and managed services to the IT, Telecom and CATV industries for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of wireless and wireline communications networks worldwide.
This position will sit on-site at ITC Corporate headquarters in Citrus Heights, CA. A Engineer who has done Bell work, in California, before is the ideal candidate for this position. Especially working with Easyload, knowing GO 95 and seeing GO 95 infractions as it pertains to California regulations.
If candidate has strong GO95 knowledge but little operating knowledge in O-Calc/EZ Load pole load analysis and permit submittal, training will be offered.
This Make Ready Engineer will support fiber to the home (FTTH) projects here in the greater Sacramento area. Work will utilize programs, procedures and work processes developed and provided by the project along with standard engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating to complete project deliverables. The Make Ready Engineer will drive for quality of deliverables and minimize rework through the application of quality absolutes while working independently and as part of a team.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Completes make ready pole applications for submittal to utilities local to project markets.
Coordinates with project team members collecting field data in support of make ready engineering.
Receives field data and verifies data is in format to support MRE work.
Reviews photographic imagery provided with field data to determine optimum fiber alignments and locations.
Performs analysis of pole attachments utilizing standard industry software such as EasyLoad or O Calc, .
Prepares pole inventory tables for the pole applications summarizing MRE remedies.
Depicting outside plant (OSP) aerial layouts utilizing existing project tools and procedures.
Maintains continual status of assigned work through tracking tools assigned by the Project or self-developed
Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction
Coordinate as necessary with engineering management, and functional groups to ensure understanding of technical, quality, and cost expectations of the specific design packages.
Performs interface management with minimal technical oversight.
Basic Qualifications:
5 plus ears of related, progressively responsible work experience
Ability to develop knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Desktop automation skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
