Job Description

Summary:

To coordinate operational activities of in-house and sub-contractor MDU construction crews, carry out the implementation plan and act as a liaison with customers inspectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Oversee the MDU/MTU projects as assigned by Customers

On-site supervision for in-house and sub-contractor construction crews running of fiber optics, raceways and cable conduit

Ensures that the project is progressing according to the scheduled plan, ensure that all project specifications are adhered to, including project timeline, budget, and profitability goals

Prepares, tracks, and manages daily time reports, production reports and updates bills of material

Audits the as-built report against the map or diagram for the project

Acts a point of contact and liaison for customers inspectors on production issues related to the job

Interface with Project Manager and client representatives regarding project status

Schedule and track site visits and walkouts

Review and evaluate fusion splicing and repair issues

Respond to no-light situations at client’s request

Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Negotiate and secure existing and new ROE’s and MDU’s

Ability to negotiate contracts

Coordinate property events and communications to maximize sales opportunities

Communicate information concerning the MDU properties to ensure the data base is current at all times

Report technical problems to the field fulfillment team to ensure service delivery is without challenges

Ensure all property incentives are calculated and paid correctly and in a timely manner, as contractually obligated



Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED; or two years of supervisory or MDU coordinator responsibilities; two years of experience in electronics, CATV, telecommunications or related field.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
