Job Description and Responsibilities :
The Junior Financial Analyst will assist the Finance Department with the day-to-day operational requirements. The Junior FA will apply his or her strong analytical skills to participate in the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide first-line financial support to PM’s; recognize financial issues and drive resolution
Prepare vendor credit applications
Assist in resolution of A/P and maintain strong vendor relationships
Purchase order administration; ensure PO’s are issued timely, in concurrence with negotiated pricing and terms
Assist with project true-up and closure; ensure all costs are recorded to projects prior to close
Participate in monthly closing process and monthly forecast preparation
Prepare reports for Senior Management
Be able to articulate variances to forecast and plan without assistance; evaluate trends in financial results
Knowledgeable about key accounting items and their impact on project financials
Assist in preparation and analysis of the weekly management report of financial results
Routine communication with peers and management relating to financial close, issues and deliverables
Special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum 1-2 years of related experience
Proficient in the use of MS Excel (particularly pivot tables, vlookup, macros), PowerPoint
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Must possess strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to operate independently with a sense of urgency
Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (BS) from 4-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
