1-3 years of aerial lineman, telecommunications experience / Properly climb poles / Able to perform all duties in CATV construction / Proficient in new build, coax & fiber installation and pole transfers / Install poles and place wires or cables / Place aerial coax and fiber cable / Operate construction equipment and machinery / Interpret engineering work plans

For consideration, candidates must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license AND be able to pass background & motor vehicle report check and drug test.

The Aerial Lineman works in an outside plant environment placing, rearranging and removing poles, lines, open wire, drop and block wire. You'll work with cables and conduit to perform maintenance on outside plant equipment. As an aerial lineman, you’ll install lines and cables (including fiber) using various construction equipment. You'll also inspect previously installed infrastructure to make sure it's working properly. Specific duties/responsibilities are listed below.

Job Responsibilities:
• Properly climb poles with ability to safely use ladders
• Operate construction equipment
• Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks
• Install poles and place wires or cables
• Place aerial coax and fiber cable
• String and maintain wire
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair overhead fiber lines
• Understanding of separation and clearance regulations
• Utilize standard telecommunications tools
• Access various installation points
• Access construction points as required
• Read and interpret engineering plans
• Keep detailed record of work activity
